What They Won't Tell You

I don’t usually get deep into food politics here, but I want to make you all aware of this because I’m fed up. Sorry, not sorry, for the rant.

There are lots of products that are passing through our food supply chain and processes we are not aware of which are absolutely toxic. And do you know what the worst part is? No labeling! Most of the time, if not all of the time, we are not being informed about it. One of those things they do not want to tell you or simply don’t want you to know.

Take Ecolab’s Antimicrobial Fruit and Vegetable Treatment (http://www.ecolab.com/program/antimicrobial-fruit-and-vegetable-treatment/) for example. Did you know that is classified as a TOXIC and CORROSIVE CHEMICAL, yet when restaurants and processors use it, they are not even required to RINSE IT OFF! Think about that for a second – soaking in its filth, layered with chemicals, no rinsing – like a toxic soup! Delectably deadly?! No thanks.

And now, we sit and wonder, “Why are cancer and autoimmune disorders rampant?” You have your answer there.

I would like to say that it all starts with AWARENESS and ASKING QUESTIONS. If you care about what you’re eating and what you feed your family, take the time to ask questions and be aware of what is being preparedTest Test for you, or better, HOW it is being prepared for you and your family. What you have on your plate may look healthy, but in reality it’s not.

Please ASK what they use to clean your produce when you sit down to eat your ‘healthy’ meal because it may have been swimming in a bath of poison.

Please ASK when you buy seafood if it’s been treated with STPP (sodium tripolyphosphate) which can cause neural damage. They aren’t required to label it.

Please ASK if your produce has been waxed. About 80% is, and they use fungicides to seal in the wax coating you can’t remove with water.

Please ASK if the meats are being soaked in ammonia to help ‘kill bacteria’, as these chemicals are linked to cancer.

We can make a difference if we know the issues and do everything we can to protect our plates. It’s your right to know what you are putting in your mouth and feeding your body with.
