I can’t quite put my experience into words as I battled for my life on the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen but ‘strange’ is definitely one of them.

If you’re a fan of the top rated show on the channel for food voyeurs, you probably watched me writhing around in the recliner, laughing your face off. The theme for the December 21st episode – the first of the new season – is called ‘I would do anything for loaf.” But let me tell ya’, having garlic stuck to your butt while trying to prep and not cut your finger off has made meatloaf a word that sends me running now.

You’ve got to watch this to see what I’m talking about.

If you watched and cheered me on, thank you! I think you’re the reason I made it through. Many of you even kindly shared you thought I was ‘robbed’ and that I shouldn’t have been eliminated. I don’t believe in over-salting, and I do feel I used plenty of seasonings and got creative with the veggies. I made sure it held together as a real ‘loaf’ and served it with colorful veggie sides, so I feel really good about what I produced.

And at the end of the day, I stand by my loaf.
