3 Ways to Feel Fit on a Friday and Everyday.
It’s so simple, but hard to always remember. Food Feeds Us. So I am here to share a few more of my favorite tips to help you feel fit everyday.
Companies will try to sell you exercise and workout gimmicks all day long, but ask any trainer or professional athlete and they will tell you that 95% of your success in your health and fitness is determined by WHAT YOU EAT!
Last month, we shared my Tips & Tricks to a Healthier YOU! (read it here). So….with it being FRI-YAY, we want to share how to FEEL FIT ON A FRIDAY (and well Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday too!!!!)
1. DIAL BACK THE ALCOHOL
We won’t spend a lot of time, because you probably already know why reducing your alcohol intake is important. Your body is a temple and if you’re soaking in it, any attempt to eating cleaner will be reversed in no time. Liquor is loaded with calories.
HOW TO DO IT:
The key is moderation, and if you are going to have a drink every once in a while, you can cut your cocktail content with club soda, water down wine with an ice cube or two.
HERE’S A TIP: Have a toast to Champagne!!!! There’s only 78 calories per glass of champagne!!
2. LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF LABELS
Learning the language of labels can be quite tricky, but reading the ingredient panel before you buy a product is a MUST!!!!
There are over 14,000 additives used in commercially prepared foods today. Read the labels on packaged foods and avoid artificial chemicals, colors, chemical preservatives, bleached white flour, hydrogenated fats and 8-syllable words.
HERE’S A TIP: If you can’t pronounce it, don’t eat it!!!!

3. FILL UP ON FRESH FRUITS & VEGGIES TO THE CORE
The mind shift is to build out the elements of your meals. Start with fresh produce, the more color, the better. By getting your fridge in order with a variety of pre-prepped veggies, the task to get them in your dishes becomes a lot easier.
HOW TO DO IT: Take 15 minutes to pre-wash fruit and veggies for the whole week with Eat Cleaner Fruit & Veggie Wash and store in see-through containers for easy snacking, soups, salads, sauces, and sandwiches. - Make veggie chips out of kale, carrots, and beets
- Purees made with sweet potatoes, cauliflower, bell pepper, tomatoes, and greens added into soups, sauces, and baked good.
- Pickled vegetables that can be placed on sandwiches and in wraps.
